A LITTLE MORE COMPLICATED...
From an article in the Globe and Mail. Renovations in Vancouver are about to get a little more complicated as of January 2015. In the spring, there was a surge in development applications for single-family homes, as people anticipated the new code. Homeowners and builders have a few more months, unless opponents can convince the city to reconsider some of the changes.
No doubt there is a lot of concern over this. It seems as though the city is taking the requirments a bit too far and they could backfire according to some.
