HOCKEY FOR ALZHEIMERS

This year I will be participating in the Hockey for Alzheimer’s event on Nov. 14 - 16 at Planet Ice Delta. I am pretty pumped about the opportunity to play in a weekend tournament with NHL alumni and to share the experience with some friends I haven't seen in years!  I am also proud to be supporting a very important cause that has directly affected my family.  This event will help the Alzheimer Society of B.C. continue their work to support families impacted by dementia and to fund research for a cure.

My goal is to raise $500 but I do hope to exceed that.  Any donation counts so it doesn't matter how much or how little you can spare.  $5, $10, $15, $20.....+ It all means something.  The easiest way to donate is by making a secure online donation to support the fundraising efforts of our team. HOW WAS THE MARKET IN SEPTEMBER OF 2014

Buyers continue to remain active.  September had almost 3000 sales, which is the 3rd highest number of sales in the last 10 years.  We're continuing on in a balanced market with 19.7% sales to active listings ratio.  So far the theme of this year is a balanced market.  We've been in the 18%-21% since January of this year.

Home prices are rising.  The detached housing market is seeing a quicker increase in prices than condos. In the last 12 months detached home prices have gone up 7.3% whereas condos have gone up 3.3%.  This is basically a result of supply and demand.  There are simply more condos being built and more to choose from.
