Warm Industrial

I think it's time we changed some light fixtures around the home front.  After all, they are original from 2006 and installed by the developer of the building so they were never really anyone's style rather just something that looked decent.  It seems like there are millions of options out there when it comes to light fixtures, whether they be dining room chandeliers or simply some sort of track lighting in the kitchen (don't see too much of that anymore).  So I think the best way to start is to figure out what kind of style you like and then go from there to select the right fixture.  I am really gravitating towards the sort of warm, industrial style.

The pic above is from The Union Wood & Supply Co. I love practically everything these guys and gals do.  They mostly do custom work and a bit of antiquing.

If you want to go the industrial route I think you need to make sure you finish the light fixture off correctly with Edison Light Bulbs.  Restoration Hardware has a great selection of Edison bulbs but they are not the only ones that sell them. You can find them in several places.

Here are some other beauties I have come across on West Elm:

I'd be interested to know what your favourite style right now is?
